Repeat Prescriptions

Medication can be issued for most of our patients by the dispensers at our two main surgeries. However if you live within one mile of an independent pharmacy we are not permitted to dispense to you.

If you are taking regular medication you can obtain repeat prescriptions through the dispenser.

Prescriptions for oral contraceptives will appear on the repeat form but cannot be dispensed until you have had a 6 monthly pill check appointment with a Practice Nurse.

You can order your prescription online via the link at the top of this page (registration required) or return the re-order slip included with your prescription to the practice.

Collecting Prescriptions

In order to ensure that you have no missing medication items, we will be asking patients to collect their medication THREE working days after ordering in the future. On occasion, especially around the bank holidays, we have had a number of missing items meaning patients have had to return to the practice to collect ‘owed’ items. We are hoping that the extra day will ensure that all of your medication is ready to collect at the same time.

Please note that you can pay by cash, credit card or cheque. We have discontinued BACS payments.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip when one is due.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
